Imanol BelausteguigoitiaImanol Belausteguigoitia Rius is a Senior Consultant at the Owner Managed Business Institute. Within his consulting practice he specializes in coaching, communication, team building, and developing the next generation.

Dr. Belausteguigoitia is the Director of the Family Business Center at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) where he teaches family business issues in the undergraduate, MBA and executive education programs. He is also on the faculty of the Department of Accounting and Administration at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Dr. Belausteguigoitia's courses cover many different topics of family business from succession and governance to gender issues. He is additionally a Family Facilitator at Harvard Business School 's executive education program Families in Business: From Generation to Generation, which examines pivotal issues facing family businesses.

As well as being an educator and consultant, Dr. Belausteguigoitia is also a speaker, writer, and researcher. Since 1999, he has been a regular contributor in the Mexican radio broadcast Reflections on Family Firms. He is the author of Empresas Familiares: su dinámica, equilibrio y consolidación published by McGraw-Hill, a book written for Latin American family companies. Dr. Belausteguigoitia spent one year as Visiting Scholar at the Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College, where he taught and researched in the fields of entrepreneurship and family business and collaborated with the Institute for Latin American Business. He continues his research into entrepreneurship and family businesses at ITAM.Dr. Belausteguigoitia received his Ph.D. in Management from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and his thesis Influence of Organizational Climate on Commitment and Effort in Members of Family Firms won a national award. Dr. Belausteguigoitia has a Certificate in Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute.
