Elliot Schildkrout, MD
Dr. Elliot Schildkrout is an Expert Affiliate with OMBI. A trained psychiatrist, family business consultant and investment advisor, Dr. Schildkrout assists family businesses in management restructuring, executive coaching, the development of corporate governance structures, and the design and implementation of family governance systems.
Over the last thirty years, Dr. Schildkrout has taught both clinical and theoretical seminars on a variety of psychiatric and psychoanalytic topics. He has also been the discussant of numerous theoretical papers. During that time, he has engaged in the supervision of a variety of trainees and experienced clinicians as well as running supervisory courses for groups of senior clinicians. Dr. Schildkrout has an active private therapy practice for individuals, couples, and families, helping them develop more effective skills in communication and conflict resolution. He has also held numerous long-term chairmanships on educational and administrative committees. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Psychoanalytic Society of Boston.
Dr. Schildkrout became a registered SEC investment advisor in 1995 and now serves as President of an investment firm where he manages approximately 30 million dollars of direct client money and is a sub-advisor to other investment firms. In this role, Dr. Schildkrout developed a proprietary trading model that utilizes a technical methodology to predict short-term movement in the market. In 2002, he was recognized by Select Advisors, Inc. as one of the top ten traders in the United States.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester, Dr. Schildkrout earned his MD from New York University.
